Midway Borough property tax is mailed to residents around July 15th of each year and Fort Cherry property tax is mailed around August 15th.

Borough due dates:
July 15 through September 15 – 2% discount
September 16 through November 15 – pay at face
November 16 through December 31 – 10% penalty

School District due dates:
August 15 through October 15 – 2% discount
October 16 through December 15 – pay at face
December 16 through December 31 – 10% penalty

School District taxes can be made in installment payments but the payments must be exactly as stated on the school tax statement, which is exactly 1/3 on or before October 15, the second 1/3 on or before December 1, and the final 1/3 on or before December 31.  Payments can be no more or no less.  To participate in the installment plan, the first payment must be made on or before October 15.

Office hours begin on the first Monday after July 14 and end on the last Monday of December (may be extended to the first Monday of January, at the tax collector’s discretion; check your statement for this).

Office hours are Monday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm (closed Labor Day).  Additional hours are from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on the Saturday on or directly before the final discount due date (one in September for the borough taxes and one in October for the school district tax).

Taxpayers can also make an appointment to pay their taxes by calling the tax collector, Eric Grant at 724-796-1477 during non-office hours to schedule an appointment.

All real estate taxes must be paid by December 31 or the amounts will be turned over to the county to be liened.
